Dog Abandoned in Filthy Apartment Without Food or Water Yearns for a Forever Home
Having the comfort of human companionship means the world to our canine friends. It’s every dog’s desire to find a family that won’t turn their backs on them, come rain or sunshine. Unfortunately, the world is filled with gut-wrenching stories of dogs abandoned by the very same families they gave their entire hearts to, and it’s a reality that tears apart every fiber of our being. One such dog is Hoji, a one-year-and-six-month-old Pit Bull Mix who never knew what abandonment was until he experienced it first-hand. Sweet Hoji had a family to call his own, and while it’s not entirely clear how long he had been with his previous owners, he certainly didn’t deserve to be abandoned in the callous manner he was
Hoji’s Emotional Rescue
Animal control officers found Hoji in an empty home filled with trash, an obvious indication that his previous family had packed and heartlessly left him behind. Officer’s’ eyes, they ‘s soon discovered that Haji had been in the filthy home for days with no food and water.
When Hoji was discovered, he appeared overwhelmed with sadness and confusion, perhaps struggling to accept that his humans had zero intentions of ever coming back.
Officers were able to gently load him into a cage and transport him to Cleveland-based shelter, City Dogs, where he currently is.
Hoji Ready to Love Again, In Need of a Home
Despite having valid reasons not to trust humans again, Hoji has a joyful spark in his eyes and his infectious smile warm the hearts of everyone who took part in his rescue. Even though life at the shelter is certainly better than being left to starve to death in solitude, he yearns to become a member of a loving household.
