These 8 Celebrities Own The World’s “Most Dangerous” Dog Breed.

Pitbulls experience an enormous amount of social stigma, with several cities and countries around the world banning them altogether. Despite their perceived “dangerous” nature, people everywhere love these dogs, including celebrities. 

Let’s meet 8 celebrities who have ignored the ignorant attitudes toward Pitbulls and added one (or more!) to their families. 

1. Billie Eilish

Billie Eilish (21) is a Los Angeles, California native and well-known singer who rose to fame when she debuted a single written in collaboration with her brother in 2015. Now one of the world’s youngest and most recognizable pop sensations, Billie Eilish is also a lover of dogs!

Billie adopted Shark, a blue nose Pitbull in 2020, but also grew up with a Pitbull and other childhood dogs. 


2. Dave Bautista

Dave Bautista (54) born in Washington, D.C. is a retired pro wrestler, actor (best known for his role in Guardians of the Galaxy), and loving dog dad! Bautista has adopted all four of his dogs and is a vocal advocate of animal rescue. “Sheltered dogs don’t mean they’re damaged, it means humans have let them down. Rescued is my favorite breed” says Bautista of his decision to adopt rather than buy from a breeder. 

Currently, Dave Bautista’s pack includes baby Talulah who he adopted in February 2023, Penny a young female pitbull, and two older Pitties named Maggie and Ollie.

3. Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston (54) is a Los Angeles, CA-born actress famous for her role as Rachel on the TV sitcom Friends and a handful of other shows and movies. A lover of animals, Jennifer Aniston has three dogs including a black and white Pitbull named Sophie. All three of Jennifer’s pups are rescued, and she absolutely adores them! 


4. Jon Stewart

Jon Stewart (60) is a New York native well-known as the host of The Daily Show. A political satirist, award-winning journalist, and advocate for veteran and worker’s rights, Jon Stewart is also a dog lover!

Jon and his family have had several dogs, including three pitbulls: Champ, Shamsky, and Monkey. Jon Stewart has also adopted a handful of farm animals like pigs, cows, chickens, and more. In collaboration with his wife Tracey Stewart, the couple opened the Hey Friend Foundation, dedicated to food justice and the prevention of animal cruelty. 


5. Patrick Mahomes

Patrick Mahomes (27) is a professional football player from Tyler, Texas. A quarterback in the NFL, and currently plays for the Kansas City Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes has led the Chiefs to two Super Bowl wins, but his focus is still mostly on his family. 

Steel is Patrick Mahomes’ Pitbull, and one of two dogs in the Mahomes home. Silver is the Mahomes’ other dog, and is also a bully breed—a beautiful Cane Corso.

6. Rachael Ray

Rachael Ray (54) was born in Glenn Falls, New York, and gained fame as one of America’s favorite TV cooks. Approachable, cheerful, and hilarious, Rachael Ray’s simple recipes aren’t the only thing people fell in love with. 

Rachael and her husband owned a beloved Pitbull named Isaboo for 15 years and were crushed by her passing in 2020. A few years later, the couple opened their hearts and home again to a Pitbull mix puppy who they named Bella Boo Blue. Bella Boo recently celebrated her first Gotcha Day and is living a very happy life with Rachael Ray’s family. 


7. Wil Wheaton

Wil Wheaton (50) of Burbank, California is an actor, author, and Pitbull advocate who happily shares his home with Marlowe, a Pitbull mix. Best known for his role as Wesley Crusher on the popular TV series Star Trek: The Next Generation, Wil Wheaton has been a vocal supporter of animal rights, human rights, and mental health nonprofit organizations. 


8. Zach LaVine

Zach LaVine (28) from Renton, Washington is an American professional basketball player for the Chicago Bulls. Twice named an NBA All-Star, one of Zach’s biggest accomplishments is creating a beautiful little family. Grizzly, LaVine’s American Pitbull, is such an important part of the family that he was included when the basketball star proposed to long-time girlfriend Hunter Mar.
