Rescued Puppies Melt Hearts As Surrogate Dog Bonds Instantly With Orphans
Few things break the heart more than a litter of orphaned puppies. Particularly, those that witnessed the tragic demise of their mother, barely escaping the same fate. Thankfully, the right people, who knew what to do, rescued these adorable babies.
These tiny pups may have had a rough start, but it’s only going to get better from here. Watch them learn how to love and be loved in this video shared from January 11:
Tragically, this beautiful litter witnessed their mother hit and killed by a car in front of them. Thankfully, New England Puppy Rescue saved her children and took them under their care. After bringing them to safety, they provided them with the required medical and nutritional needs. However, these little pups needed something humans couldn’t provide.
The Litter Meets the Dedicated Puppy Raiser
The next phase of the orphan puppy protocol they tell us is to place them with their dedicated puppy raiser, River. They describe this meeting as heartwarming and heartbreaking as River, “Revealed the profound yearning these pups had for a role model.” The rescue reports that this was the first time they had been together with another dog since their mother had passed, and it looked like they needed this attention. They quickly warmed up to their new big brother, and he seemed to bond instantly with them, too. An outsider could not tell they hadn’t been together since day one.
Helping Puppies Thrive
Despite their young age and a difficult past, these babies have a promising future thanks to the love and nurturing of their new friend. “River, our dedicated puppy raiser, is a beacon of love and guidance, helping orphaned litters adjust to life without a mom. His impact has been awe-inspiring, guiding hundreds of puppies and playing an integral role in our orphaned puppy program!” That’s for sure!
Dogs have a way of reminding us to give love selflessly. They never hesitate to show us how much joy caring for someone else can bring.
