Dozens of Dogs Found Starving at Alleged “Rescue” as Over 100 Reportedly Die
In a deeply disturbing case out of Tyler County, dozens of dogs were discovered trapped in cages without food, water, or basic care at what was supposed to be a rescue organization. While more than 50 dogs were found alive, reports indicate that over 100 others may not have survived.
Rescuers described a heartbreaking scene—dogs too weak to stand, some unable to even attempt escape when their cages were opened. What should have been a place of safety had instead become a site of prolonged suffering.
A “Rescue” in Name Only
According to reports, animals were confined in cramped cages with no flooring, forced to sit in their own waste. They were deprived of food, water, and even the most basic necessities for survival.

This wasn’t a temporary lapse in care. It was a sustained and preventable situation that left vulnerable animals to slowly starve.
Cases like this raise urgent concerns about oversight and accountability, especially when organizations present themselves as rescues but fail to provide even minimal standards of care.

A Pattern That Cannot Be Ignored
Animal advocates stress that cruelty on this scale does not happen by accident. It reflects a pattern of neglect that worsens over time without intervention.
Without meaningful consequences, there is a real risk that similar situations could happen again—putting more animals in danger under the guise of rescue.

Why This Matters
These dogs were failed by the very place meant to protect them. While some survived, many did not get a second chance.
Advocates are now urging the public to Sign the Petition calling for:
- A full and transparent investigation
- Permanent shutdown of the operation
- A lifetime ban on animal ownership
- Mandatory mental health counseling for those responsible
