Everybody deserves to celebrate their birthday, and 7-year-old Canelo got to do it in style! The staff at AGWC Rockin’ Rescue in Woodland Hills, California, surprised him with treats from The Dog Bakery, making him a very happy boy!

Canelo’s Birthday Bash

Canelo, a 7-year-old Pit Bull mix, celebrated his birthday on February 10th in grand style. What he thought would be just another day turned into a big celebration, complete with a special necklace to wear, lots of balls to play with, and unexpected treats from The Dog Bakery!

The Dog Bakery created cute, decorated cookies for him to snack on throughout the day and a special customized cake just for him with his name on it front and center. The staff was barely able to finish singing ‘Happy Birthday’ before Canelo was ready to dig in. He wasted no time giving the cake a taste, and once he sampled it, he devoured it in seconds! It’s safe to say that the cake was pup-approved!

The big smile on his face shows just how happy he was to have the spotlight shining on him, and how much he enjoyed the special treatment he received all day long.

Canelo Is Waiting For His Forever Family

Sadly, most of Canelo’s days aren’t always filled with so much fun. AGWC rescued him from a shelter after his previous family dumped him. He’s called AGWC home since 2023. His caretakers describe Canelo as a super mellow and sweet dog. He loves playing fetch, chasing balls, and going on walks. His favorite thing to do is go on car rides to Starbucks where he’s treated to his weekly Puppuccino.
