Soulmates, But With Paws & Claws
The most fascinating bit about Meeko and Russell’s friendship is that it isn’t one-sided. These two aren’t simply tolerating each other just because they share a home. They enjoy spending time together, whether it’s chilling on the porch or playing silly games in the yard.

At one point, Meeko gets up and mischievously prances off with the pine cone in his mouth as though teasing Russell to catch him. Of course, Russell — in true crow’s fashion — follows a cheeky Meeko around, determined to snatch his share. And here’s the best part about their play time: there’s no clawing, endless growling, or violent chaos. Just two playful pals trying to outsmart each other in the most gentle way possible.
Another video shows the two hanging out on the porch after being away from each other for a few days, and the peaceful glow on their faces shows how relieved they are to finally be reunited.
