In a spontaneous decision, I decided to name her Kelly, after my wife who accompanied me that day. “You are beautiful, my wife is beautiful, and I think we’ll call you Kelly in honor of Kelly,” I said to her, hoping that the name might bring her luck in finding a forever home.

The revelation came later when a shelter staff member identified her as a King Shepherd. This discovery explained her distinct appearance and temperament. “I just kept thinking cute, fluffy, friendly, German Shepherd,” I reflected, amazed at the rare find in such an unexpected place.

As Kelly’s time at the shelter continued, the urgency to find her a home grew. “Sharing this could make the difference,” I thought, aware of the numerous German shepherds waiting for homes. It became a mission to help Kelly, a King Shepherd, find her forever family.
