Left In The Park With Nothing, This Little Dog Was Heartbroken—Then Love Found Her
A young dog’s world crumbled when his family abandoned him in a park in Houston, Texas, leaving behind only a bed and a water bowl. Alone and unprepared for the harshness of the outside world, his future looked grim—until a shelter volunteer named Brianna happened to cross his path. (Watch Video Below)
While out feeding stray animals, Brianna spotted the heartbroken pup, later named Furby, and shared his story on TikTok (@Bristexastails). Her timely discovery may have saved the little pup’s life.
@bristexastails Today I went to experience a new side of rescue. I’ve picked up many strays over the past decade but I’ve never gone street feeding. A good friend let me join her on her route and this baby is the very first dog we came upon. He was dumped with his bed and water bowl at a very popular dumping site. I’m so thankful @Pippy's Pals said yes let’s take him because I can’t imagine what the streets are like for a dog who is so young and unaware of how to survive on his own. From Lonely To Loved
Brianna and her friend were heartbroken when they stumbled upon the timid dog, covered in fleas, sitting all alone in the park. Without wasting a moment, Brianna reached out to her friend at Pippy’s Pals Rescue, who immediately agreed to take him in.
Until then, Brianna brought Furby home and gave him a much-needed bath. Despite his rough start, the dog proved to be a total sweetheart, happily soaking up the care and washing away the dirt and fleas.
Later, dressed in a cozy outfit and snuggled into a soft bed, Furby finally felt safe and at peace, likely for the first time in a long while.
A Perfect Foster Home
Furby is now officially safe and is being fostered by Brianna. While the reason for his heartbreaking abandonment may never be known, one thing is certain — only brighter days lie ahead for this sweet pup. With about 18 million views and over 3 million likes, Furby has well-wishers all over the TikTok world.
Lexa Reiff commented under the video, saying, “Oh my gosh, that face. He’s so relaxed in the bath & in his jammies.” Meanwhile, another user added, “How can someone dump this angel? Broke my heart.”
In an update from his first vet visit, Brianna shared on TikTok that Furby is estimated to be 2-3 years old. She’ll continue to foster him until he finds the loving forever home he truly deserves.
