With mobility issues and irritated skin, Wiggles’s journey is all about baths, vet checks, and loads of love, showcasing the shelter’s all-in approach to animal care.

“It’s so hard. What is wrong with you? We need to get that fixed,” Mel, the shelter groomer expressed concern upon first encountering an unusual yet spirited dog. Dubbed ‘Wiggles’ by the shelter staff for her distinct movements, the dog’s peculiar condition was both puzzling and heart-wrenching. “She looks completely normal until she moves around,” remarked Rocky Kanaka, a well-known pet rescue advocate.
Despite her mobility issues leading to irritated skin, Wiggles maintained a bubbly personality, endearing herself to everyone she met. “Everything Wiggles has been through and she still loves people,” Rocky observed, highlighting her joyous spirit.

As Wiggles’ story began to unravel, it was revealed that she was abandoned at the shelter with no background information. “She was dumped in night drop with no information… Maybe the family dumped her off because they couldn’t afford the medical bills. No matter what, I’m just happy that she’s here now,” Rocky reflected, grateful for the shelter’s intervention.
