Woman Returns to Hotel to Find Stray Mama Dog Napping in Her Bed – What Happens Next Will Melt Your Heart
Anyone who’s brave enough to travel solo may already be a ‘go with the flow’ kind of person, but even the most unshakable travelers would be shocked to find someone else in their bed. Just ask Cait! This traveler was heading back to her room at the hostel after a shower when she walked in on the cutest intruder who was making herself comfy in her bed. (See video below)
Just like anyone would do, Cait took a split second just to process what she was seeing. But then–she said hello to her adorable new friend! Check out the rest of their surprise meeting in Cait’s May 20 TikTok video.
LOL! Cait’s reaction is completely relatable, especially when her mood does a complete 180. She goes from shock to joy in less than a second, which, if you ask me, is the appropriate reaction to a surprise dog in one’s bed. There’s always a chance the dog won’t be so friendly, but this sweet Pit Bull made it clear that she was just looking for a comfy spot to sleep, with or without a roommate. And Cait was happy to oblige!
Naturally, commenters are having a field day with this canine surprise. Viewer @indieprin joked, “Hi, I failed to get my complimentary hostel dog,” but I have a feeling everyone except Cait missed out. This certainly doesn’t happen everywhere! In Turkey, however, there are thousands of stray dogs who depend on locals and travelers for food and shelter. That’s how many of them, like this precious Pit Bull, become so friendly.
It didn’t take long for Cait to decide to let the pup stay the night. She removed several ticks from the dog’s body before settling in for the night, and it sure seemed like her new pal was grateful. It was probably the best sleep she’s had in a long time.
Walking a Mile in Hera’s Pawprints
After their sleepover, Cait was determined to find out more about this street dog. The four-legged friend is a regular at the hostel, and she even has two puppies! Cleo and Patrick are just as cute as their mama, though it looks like Hera (that’s Mama Dog’s name) may have taken in two pups she didn’t even give birth to. Cait refers to them as Hera’s “adopted pups,” but there’s no question that Hera sees them as her own.
This is the best possible outcome! Not only do Hera and her puppies get some extra love and care, but Cait gets plenty of puppy cuddles, too. Mama finds her way into Cait’s room every night for some peaceful rest before returning to her motherly duties, and everyone has a wonderful story to tell. If only Cait’s trip to Turkey could last forever!
