She’s Here! Valentina Has Officially Arrived at Flip’s Farm—See What Happened Next!
Want to adopt Valentina? The application is here
She’s here! After weeks of healing and getting the all-clear from the vet, Valentina has officially arrived at Flip’s Farm. And let me tell you—this is a moment we’ve been waiting for. Seeing her today, it’s almost like looking at a completely different dog. (Watch the video above)
She’s Here!

As soon as I got the call from the vet that she was ready to go, I didn’t hesitate. “When can we pick her up?” I asked. “Today,” they said. So we jumped into action, making sure the Quonset hut was ready for her.
When she pulled up, I couldn’t believe it—her transformation is unreal. Her fur has grown back, soft and velvety instead of raw and patchy. And the best part? She’s acting like a real dog again.
She’s still rocking a cone from her spay surgery a few days ago, but that hasn’t slowed her down. The second she saw her new toys, she was on a mission—dragging them all outside like she was showing them their new kingdom. Pumpkin, of course, had to join in. Apparently, these two have decided that all toys must be relocated outdoors.
From Pain to Playfulness

It’s hard to believe this is the same dog we first met, barely clinging to life. When Animal Control found her in the yard of a vacant home, she was in bad shape—covered in wounds, her skin falling off in places, and clearly suffering. We weren’t sure she was going to make it.
The vets originally thought she was about two or three years old, but after seeing her uterus during her spay surgery, they now think she’s only about one. That would explain those big, goofy puppy paws! She’s still got some healing to do—some dandruff, a couple of scars—but she’s come so far in just 45 days. A little love, proper care, and good food can work miracles.
What Breed Is Valentina?
Now that she’s settling in at Flip’s Farm, we’re going to keep working on her recovery. She’s getting a balanced diet, plenty of enrichment, and all the love she can handle. We’ve also got a DNA test in the works to solve the mystery of her breed. At first, we thought she might be a Russian Terrier, but now we’re leaning toward Giant Schnauzer. What do you think? Take our poll here and guess her breed.

The best news? Valentina will be available for adoption in two weeks! But if you’re already head over heels for this sweet girl, applications are open now. She’s looking for a family that will love her the way she deserves.
From Forgotten to Forever
I’ve seen a lot of heartbreaking cases in rescue, but Valentina’s story hit hard. To see her now—playing, happy, and whole—it’s a reminder of why we do this. Every dog deserves a second chance, and Valentina is proof that love and care can change everything.
She’s been through so much, but now, her best days are ahead of her. And I can’t wait to see her find the home she was always meant to have.
