Happy Tears as Abused Street Dog Finds Forever Home… But His New ‘Job’ Has Everyone Talking!
A stray dog in Thailand named Mario endured a long and difficult journey before finally finding the warmth of a loving home. Once severely abused while living on the streets, Mario suffered brutal beatings that left him with numerous wounds all over his body, including a broken leg.
Locals took care of Mario for some time until they decided the dog deserved to go to a loving forever home. That is how the dog ended up at Happy Doggo, a Thailand-based animal charity.
Mario Became A Long-Time Resident at Happy Doggo
When Mario arrived at Happy Doggo, he needed major surgery to allow him to walk properly again along with treatments for his various injuries. The operation was a success, but half of his coat had to be shaved, giving him a unique, half-shaved look for a while. Instead of taking away from his charm, this quirky new style only added to his endearing personality.

After being beaten up by someone in his past, the kind locals who took care of him decided that Mario should be rehomed into a safe and loving environment. Apart from that, he was widely known as the busybody of the office, always looking for treats, lizards and people to supervise. Mario went up for adoption but with one twist—our own Zoe, who manages adoptions, couldn’t let him go. Now, Mario lives with Zoe, enjoying all the comforts of a home for the first time. But Monday to Friday, he still comes to the office to see his friends and keep everyone in line! Mario received a lot of love and care and always kept busy at the charity by taking care of important responsibilities, such as looking for treats, chasing lizards, taking naps, and supervising people.
Once Mario was completely healed up, it was time to find him a forever home. So, the charity put him up for adoption.
Staff Member Took Mario Home
Zoe is a staff member at Happy Doggo, who manages adoptions. She had become extremely close to Mario to the point that she couldn’t let him leave. So, she ended up adopting him and he finally got a chance to go to a forever home.
Now, Mario lives with his doting dog mom Zoe and he gets to enjoy living in a home for the first time ever after surviving an abusive past. In addition, he still comes to the charity premises every day with his mom Monday to Friday. This means he still gets to keep his employment as the lizard hunter and treat tracker. Lucky Dog! He is now a home dog as well as an office dog.
