Happiest Shelter Dog Can’t Keep Calm After Finding Forever Family

Nothing makes a shelter dog go from 0 to 100 on the happiness scale quite fast like the realization that they’ve been adopted. It’s every shelter dog’s dream to bid the overwhelming kennel life goodbye and be part of a real family that will love them for a lifetime. So, when this dream finally comes to life, it’s understandable when they’re unable to contain their excitement.  (Watch video below)

Happiest Shelter Dog Can’t Keep Calm After Finding Forever Family

Pinky — a 3-year-old Pit Bull mama dog — had been a resident at the Humane Society of Broward County for over a month. She was brought to the shelter with her litter of puppies, but unlike her, her young ones found their forever homes with ease. Despite her amazing qualities, Pinky was often overlooked by potential adopters. Little did she know that her happy ending was just right around the corner, and it would come when she least expected it.

A heartwarming TikTok video posted by @humanesocietybrowardcounty a few days ago captures the magical moment Pinky — whom the shelter considers their happiest dog — realized she was going home with her forever family. The happiness on her face was obvious, and her tail couldn’t stop wagging from the moment she was let out of her kennel to when she stepped out of the shelter.

You see, for weeks, Pinky watched as visitors coming to the shelter passed her by. The shelter couldn’t understand why nobody wanted to give this lovely mama dog a chance, yet she was beautiful inside out. In a lengthy post shared on Instagram about a month ago, the shelter described Pinky as a sweet, calm dog who enjoys meeting adults and other dogs and loves going for car rides.
