Losing Hope

This beautiful German Shepherd named Romeo had lost all hope after spending an extended time locked in a cage at a Southern California shelter. Once calm and collected, he was now deteriorating quickly, spinning all day in the tiny space he had.

He was in such a state of distress that he had begun refusing to eat. The rescuer wanted to take him out of the kennel and provide him with the comfort he needed, but the staff said he was a lost cause. Luckily for him, she didn’t give up. Then, the video she shared online on February 15 helped him find a mom who wouldn’t give up on him either.

Saving a Shepherd in Agony

Romeo is a fitting name for this handsome and sweet boy. Instead of leaving him to suffer alone as everyone else did, his guardian angel from @kelsmcdonough made an online plea to help find him a family, and it worked. With a place to go, she could finally free him from the shelter and bring him to the life he was waiting for. Though weakened by stress and malnutrition, Romeo was now on the mend, with a bright future ahead.

The Road to Recovery

It’s hard to believe this beautiful dog was all but forgotten. This handsome fellow now wears a smile on his big, beautiful head while taking car rides and even enjoys getting love from his little human friends. Surrounded by many supporters and two adoring women, he no longer needs to worry about being abandoned.
