Recently, one Frenchie, Ace, left the internet “aawwing” endlessly for his heartwarming reaction when reuniting with his 8-week-old puppy. Ace’s reaction was captured in a now-viral video, and if we’re being honest, we bet you’ll hit play too many times.
A Father-Daughter Bond Like No Other
As revealed in the heartwarming TikTok video, Ace was separated from his newborn daughter, Polly, after her birth. During this separation period, Ace has been living with his new family while Polly remained with her mother elsewhere. The beautiful part about this is that despite the separation, Ace did get a chance to bond with his newborn pup right after she was born. So when the opportunity arose for Ace’s family to take in Polly, they didn’t hesitate because they knew this would mean everything to Ace.
The video shows Ace’s owner walking into the house while carrying a small basket covered with a soft blanket from the top. Inside is Polly, but one can barely see her because of the blanket. However, it’s like Ace could sense what’s inside because he reacts the moment he sees the basket. The clip captures him rushing toward his owner as he jumps excitedly, as though trying to reach for the basket. There’s a high chance his powerful nose had already recognized his puppy’s scent even without seeing her. Ace’s excitement takes a much wilder turn when his owner places the basket on the floor and removes the blanket.
You can see Ace pacing around the basket before lowering his head gently inside it to give her baby a good sniff. At this point, it’s obvious his heart can’t contain the joy. And it’s not just in the way his body is wiggling, or how his ears have perked up; you can also hear him letting out sounds of excitement again and again.
What makes this video even more beautiful to witness is how Ace repeatedly looks up at his owner, as though seeking reassurance that whatever he’s seeing is real. It’s comforting to know that finally, Ace now shares a forever home with the one thing his heart had been craving for weeks.
