Jane’s a four-year-old American Foxhound mix with all the energy and grit you’d expect from a working breed. Jane’s been hanging out at the Butte Humane Society in Chico, California, since January 2023, waiting for someone awesome to take her home. And before that? She was at another shelter, though no one’s quite sure for how long.

In an announcement shared on TikTok, Butte Humane Society said that over the next few weeks, Jane will reside at Ridgeside K9 and undergo comprehensive training. This intensive program will equip her with a variety of essential skills to help her become a well-behaved companion.
Jane will learn crucial lessons like loose leash walking, basic commands that all dogs should master as puppies (like stay, drop it, and lay down), and techniques to address her behavioral challenges, such as impulse control, aggression, and reactivity. By the end of her training (motivated by lots of treats!), Jane will have transformed into a “super adoptable” pup, ready to find her perfect match.
