Lola is a 10-year-old, 9 lb Poodle who has experienced more heartbreak in one year than most dogs do in a lifetime. Originally surrendered in March 2024 when her previous owners could no longer care for her, she was quickly adopted by a kind woman who gave her the life of a spoiled princess. Tragically, in February 2025, that loving owner passed away unexpectedly, and Lola was returned to Carolina Poodle Rescue at Dreamweaver Farms in Pacolet, SC. Now, this brave little girl is hoping for her true forever home.
Lola is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative. She had a major dental cleaning in 2024, and ongoing dental care will be important for her health. Despite the changes she’s endured, Lola has kept her sweet and affectionate spirit. She’s curious when meeting new people and would love nothing more than to jump right into your lap. She enjoys leash walks but isn’t a fan of long outdoor time—she’s a quick potty and back-inside kind of gal. She’s also pee pad trained, making her ideal for apartment living or a home where outdoor trips may be limited.
In her previous home, Lola enjoyed being doted on with soft beds, homemade meals, and endless affection. She would do best with a gentle adopter—perhaps a retiree or someone who works from home—who can continue to pamper her like the princess she is. She prefers to be part of the action and will happily stay close to her person, soaking up all the love.
Lola’s estimated birthday is May 11, 2014, and while she may be considered a senior, she has so much love left to give. She’s house trained (with some help from her pee pads), low-shedding, and has a confident, endearing personality. With her tiny frame and big heart, she’s ready to bring warmth and companionship to a home that truly cherishes her.
