Meet Cooper, a 4-year-old Miniature Poodle mix with soulful eyes and a gentle heart that just needs a little extra time to trust. At just 12 pounds, he’s a stay-at-home kind of guy who prefers cozy familiarity to the chaos of the outside world.

Cooper didn’t get the socialization most puppies receive, which means new people and places can feel overwhelming at first. But give him a little space and a lot of patience, and he’ll reward you with loyalty, love, and companionship like no other. Once he knows you’re safe, you’ll have a best friend for life.

He currently lives in a foster home with another dog, and while he may need time to warm up to any new furry roommates, he enjoys calm canine company. Cooper is also enrolled in a weekly training class—and he’s a star student! He already knows all his basic commands, and his training classes will be included in the adoption (a huge plus for continued bonding and confidence-building!).

Why Cooper Might Be Your Perfect Match:

🐾 4 years old, 12 pounds
🏡 Best in an adult-only home with prior dog experience
🐶 Enjoys the company of other calm dogs
🧘 Prefers a quiet, predictable environment
🎓 Weekly training classes included in adoption
🚫 No young kids, loud homes, or long adventures—he’s a homebody!

Cooper isn’t looking for the spotlight—just a safe lap, a soft bed, and a human who sees past his initial hesitation to the amazing companion underneath. Because of his ongoing training, only homes in South Orange County will be considered.
