SWIFTY is the cuddliest little nugget. He’s a 2ish year old 11 lb. chiweenie (Chihuahua/Dachshund) type mixed breed boy. He was a stray in a rural area and was difficult to catch, which is how he got the name Swifty. This little guy is a world-class cuddler and gets completely blissed out over belly rubs. Swifty takes a few minutes to warm up to new people but once he trusts you it’s a love connection.
So far Swifty has no interest in the other dogs in his foster home. We expect he’d be perfectly happy to live life as an only dog. He loves to be carried and cuddled and loves his toys. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention.
