Meet Nacho, an approximately 7-month-old Chiweenie (Chihuahua-Dachshund mix) from Korea, eagerly awaiting his forever home. Weighing in at around 11 pounds, Nacho is a bundle of joy—happy, affectionate, smart, and friendly.

Nacho’s journey to safety began when he was rescued from a Korean kill shelter, where he was at risk of euthanasia. Thanks to the efforts of dedicated activists, Nacho was given a second chance and a ticket to Seattle, where he hopes to find a loving family to call his own.

Every year, over a million dogs in Korea face slaughter for meat. Nacho is one of the lucky ones who escaped that fate, and he’s ready to embrace his new life. He dreams of car rides, park walks, and becoming someone’s best friend. Nacho gets along well with people of all ages, including gentle children, and other dogs.

Nacho is seeking a home filled with love and affection. To help him transition smoothly, adopters are encouraged to work with a recommended pet rescue dog trainer. His adoption fee of $895 covers his spay/neuter, DA2PP shots, rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, heartworm test, microchip, boarding fees, health certificate, and the cost of his flight from Korea to Seattle.

All adopted dogs are required to have a GPS tracker or Apple AirTag, which can be brought by the adopter or purchased through Ginger’s Pet Rescue. While breed and age cannot be guaranteed, Nacho’s loving nature is certain.

Adoption fees not only help Nacho but also support other dogs in need of rescue and medical care. Donations to pay down vet bills at Greenwood Veterinary Hospital are also greatly appreciated. Ginger’s Pet Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization committed to saving lives—one dog at a time.

Could Nacho be your new best friend?

The adoption fee is donated to the rescue and is tax deductible.
