This sweet German Shepherd/Collie mix was turned in by her owner on 9/24/2024. Unfortunately the owner’s wife had passed and he felt he could not care for Rakoda by himself. She is 4 years, 6 months old, 55 lbs and already spayed. She has more sad history in that she originally arrived at the shelter in 2021 when her then owner was involved in an accident and ended up in the hospital, unable to retrieve her. The staff and volunteers know she is a shy, quiet and lovely girl. The Dog Walkers know she walks right beside you on leash and is housebroken. She knows how to sit when asked and truly just wants to hang out and cuddle! She could really use a break and find her Forever Family and HOME so he can finally start her Happily Ever After!
