Pac is a big guy, he likes to guard his kennel, but is a gentle giant when let out. He has been at the shelter since February 8th, 2023. He came to shelter because he had a little chihuahuas in the home that liked to jump up and bite his chaw. He shook it off usually, but one day he had had enough, so he tried to nip back. The owner stopped it with her arm before he got the the dog but she got a little bite from it, she even stated he was very sorry and pulled back right away when he noticed it was her.

The Chihuahuas lived there before he did as his original owners were going through a divorce and neither parties wanted him (see this so often it is so sad), so she called the shelter and they took him in and have had him since.

The shelter employees have never seen him mean, or bite. Pac knows how to sit, lay down, shake and loves his treats. He walks great on a leash and is 120 lbs of hunk a hunk a burning love. He just wants to snuggle with someone and be their everything, no one will come in your house with him guarding it.

12/26/23 UPDATE! Pac was adopted! Here’s a note we got from the shelter:

I just wanted to update you with great news!! Pac was adopted!! He had about 15 applications from all over the US, we went over them in order received and the 3rd application from Schaumburg, Illinois was a winner! They came and met him on Christmas Eve and it went wonderful! They took him for a walk and fell in love with him. He was home for Christmas! That was our wish! He now lives in a home with someone in a wheelchair and 2 other adults, he is doing great with that, too! We had plenty of supporters putting money on his page, so the adoption was paid for in full, they did pay it forward to 2 other dogs though! So a win, win all around!

They did just call with an update and they are in love! He has been a perfect gentleman, loves his new huge yard, and walked in the house an planted kisses on all of them! He was not a fan of leaving here at first as he did not want to get in the van, once he was on the road he just laid there and gave them kisses the whole way, I say he was thanking them! Tears of joy here for our big guy Pac!!

Thanks for running his article I know it was the reason he found a home after so long! You guys rock!!!
