Meet Nate, a one-of-a-kind French Bulldog and Chihuahua mix with a heart full of love for the right person. His previous person surrendered him into rescue. He is a strong chewer who loves stuffies and nylabones. He loves to play fetch and chase ice cubes. He goes into his crate easily when you say ‘bed time’ and sleeps through the night with the crate covered. He barks when new people arrive and if he hears other dogs in other yards, but otherwise is not yappy. He loves a nice evening walk.
This little guy might take a day or two to warm up, but once he feels safe in his new home, he’ll become your loyal, forever cuddle buddy. Nate isn’t a fan of strangers and needs to be given space when new people are around. For this reason he probably would not be a good fit for an apartment or condo where people are coming and going all the time. His Texas fosters have been working on this with him and he is improving. He prefers to approach new faces on his own terms. But for his special person, Nate is pure love—a sweet, snuggly companion who will be by your side through thick and thin. He will need his new people to be firm with him, but he responds really to love and cuddles. If you’re patient and understanding, Nate could be the perfect addition to your life.
Nate is from Texas.
