Calling all Cocker Spaniel enthusiasts! Violet and Lola, an inseparable pair of senior Cocker Spaniels, are ready to find a forever home together. These two may have a small age difference—estimated at around 8 to 10 years each—but their bond is undeniable. Violet, a black female with limited vision, and Lola, a lively white-and-black companion, are truly two peas in a pod.
Both came into rescue in need of medical care and have since bounced back, although Violet requires some ongoing support due to her vision impairment. She’s on daily prescription eye drops to manage glaucoma and dry eye, a simple routine her future family will need to maintain. Despite her limited vision, Violet doesn’t let it hold her back—she’s known to navigate her surroundings with surprising ease, especially if there’s food nearby. Lola, the younger and sprightlier of the two, is eager to learn and already knows commands like “speak,” “sit,” “lay down,” “heel,” and “fetch.” Together, they make the perfect team, each complementing the other’s strengths and bringing out the best in one another.
Both girls are potty trained and happily share a large crate when they need to be kenneled. In true Cocker Spaniel fashion, they both adore toys and can often be found curled up on the couch surrounded by their favorite stuffed animals and balls.
The adoption fee for this dynamic duo is $400, which includes their spay, microchips, current vaccinations, and preventatives, along with a free basic obedience course at Cedar Run in Hiawatha. Last Hope Animal Rescue requires that all adopted animals remain indoor pets and that adopters have a proven history of keeping their pets altered and up-to-date on vaccinations and preventatives. The adoption process includes background and reference checks, a vet history review, and a home visit.
If you’re interested in giving Violet and Lola a loving home, submit an adoption application through Last Hope’s website at www.adopthope.org. These two seniors have plenty of love to give and are ready to start the next chapter of their lives—together.
