🐕 Roly-Poly’s Story

Rescued from the shelter, Roly-Poly is a round, chunky, and irresistibly cute Frenchie who begged for a second chance at life. When our volunteer arrived, he put his paws on the kennel bars as if to say, “Please take me!”—and we couldn’t resist that face!

His foster describes him as gentle, loving, and a true cuddle bug who quickly adapts to his surroundings. At first, he was a bit nervous and sensitive to quick movements, but within days, he settled in, learning to ignore household noises (even violin practice and the Roomba!).

🏡 What Roly-Poly Needs in a Home

✅ Experienced dog owners (preferably with prior Frenchie experience or knowledge of the breed’s needs)
✅ A family with children 5+
✅ A home where he can be the center of attention—he loves being around people!
✅ A moderate activity level—he enjoys short walks (20 mins) a few times a day and plenty of snuggles

🐾 Roly-Poly’s Personality & Daily Routine

🛏 Morning Routine:

• Wakes up around 6:30 AM on weekdays, 7:30 AM on weekends
• Quickly goes outside for potty (though he dislikes cold mornings!)
• 95% potty trained—just needs consistency

🍽 Eating & Relaxing:

• Loves to eat lunch & dinner when the family eats
• Enjoys napping in the home office or anywhere with people around
• Sleeps through the night on his doggy bed in the foster’s room

🚶‍♂️ Walks & Playtime:

• Loves short walks (20 minutes) a few times a day
• Comfortable on a leash (only pulls slightly when excited)
• Barks very little but may vocalize when he sees other dogs he wants to play with
• Gets along with most dogs his size, but his playful Frenchie energy can be too much for some
