Max is a 2-year-old red smooth-coated Dachshund mix (small standard size, 17.4 lbs) with boundless energy and love to share. Originally from Georgia, Max was surrendered due to family circumstances and is now looking for an active home where he can thrive. He’s happy, friendly, and full of personality—just not the couch potato type. Max is house-trained, crate-trained (though not his favorite), leash-trained (with some pulling), and loves using a doggie door.
Max is fully vetted: neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and currently on heartworm prevention. He’s best suited for a home with:
✔️ A fenced yard (a must!)
✔️ Another small, playful dog companion
✔️ An active adopter (no apartment living, please)
✔️ Someone who works from home or is home often
✔️ Children over 10 (he may accidentally knock over smaller kids)
❌ No cats
Max’s adoption fee is $450 + $35 microchip fee. If transported out of state, a $60 health certificate fee applies.
