Hi there, my name is Honor. I was born in the rescue on January 8, 2022. I had a little bit of a hard start in my life because I have this thing called Megaesophagus. It’s OK now though, because my foster mommy, the rescue, and the doctors figured out that if I just eat in my little chair, I can just be like a normal doggy. I love my foster family, but I would love even more to have a family of my own.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself. My favorite things are playing with my brother, playing fetch (I LOVE that), and taking little dips in the pool. Another of my absolutely favorite things to do is dismantle my foster mommy’s wood pile in the backyard. I can often be seen wandering around with a log in my mouth, because I am a goofy kinda girl. However, I am also extremely smart, so if you adopt me I’m sure you could teach me to put the logs back in the pile, or even bring them to you when you want to throw another one on the fire pit.

Foster mommy says I am very attentive. I’m not quite sure what that means, but I really like hanging out with her and the family, and I’m always watching for her to give me guidance as to do next, so maybe that’s what it js. Mommy says I am a butterfly when I am walking on the leash. I like to smell all the new smells, but I usually settle down after a few minutes. I met a thing called a cat a few days ago and I didn’t get fussy, or hyper focus on it or anything, so maybe I would be ok with a cat friend.

Notes from Honor’s foster mommy:

Honor is a sweet, silly girl. She loves to chase leaves in the wind, toss pinecones in the air, and generally just to do anything else that is fun. She is FULL of life and love. I guarantee that anyone who gets to know this girl will fall in love with her.

She has learned a few commands and is very eager to please, and to learn more. Her Megaesophagus is probably going to be lifelong. However, it is well-controlled with inexpensive drugs and eating her two meals per day upright in her Bailey chair. She would LOVE to have a family and home of her own, and she definitely deserves the best.
