At just 2 years old, Herbie is already the full package: 46 pounds of squishy charm, floppy ears, and unshakable optimism. With his big bully smile and wiggly butt, he’s ready to be your loyal sidekick—but only if you understand what makes a bully breed so beautifully unique.
This sweet American Bully didn’t get the easiest start in life. He came into rescue anemic and clearly mistreated, but you’d never know it from his happy-go-lucky personality. Herbie loves people—all people—and approaches life with the kind of resilience that’s both heartwarming and inspiring.
“He’s one of the best listeners I’ve ever fostered,” says his foster mom. “He’s goofy, affectionate, and just wants to be included. He’s not destructive, he’s respectful in the house, and he’s a quick learner.”
In fact, Herbie already knows:
🖐 Sit, stay, wait
🦴 Touch, down, spin, paw (both sides)
🛏️ “Go to your crate” and “Go to your bed”
Herbie is incredibly food-motivated and loves training. He also loves baths, cuddles, and a good sniffari. He’s crate trained, potty trained, and an overall easy house companion—but like any young Bully, he’s still perfecting his leash manners. He gets curious and excited and will need continued work on staying focused during walks.
Herbie’s Ideal Match
💚 A home that understands bully breeds—especially the quirks like skin sensitivity, breathing needs, and those occasional stubborn streaks
🚫 No other pets preferred—Herbie wants your undivided snuggles
👨👩👧👦 A chill but engaged household that loves to play but also respects the art of lounging
🎾 Daily games of tug, fetch, food puzzles, and nose work to keep his body and mind active
He’s not just a good boy—he’s a great one. From patiently sitting through vet visits to letting you clean his ears and paws with ease, Herbie is the kind of dog who will melt into your arms and your heart.
He may need a little extra care, but in return, he’ll give you 100% of his goofy grin, wiggly butt, and soulful eyes. After everything he’s been through, he still trusts, still loves, still chooses joy.
And now he’s just looking for someone who chooses him.
