Gumbo was found in front of a Good Samaritan’s house and they brought him in, cleaned him up and took him to the shelter on 9/25/2024. They named him Gumbo! He is thought to be 2 years old, 66 lbs and not yet neutered.
He quickly became a staff and volunteer favorite due to his gentle nature. He is friendly, well behaved and loves everyone! He walks right beside you with a leash and knows the sit command.
He attended the shelter’s big gala the other day and was a hit! He handled himself very well with the crowd of people and the other dogs attending the event.
The loud environment did not phase him at all. He has been used to test dogs at the shelter because of his calm and friendly demeanor. I’d guess he will make the perfect family dog for a very lucky family. He just need help finding them! He’s single and ready to mingle! Hurry!
