Glimmer is a 2 year old 11 pound dachshund/chihuahua mix who has the adorable chi face with the lowrider Dachshund body. She loves other dogs, and we’d love to find her a home with another dog that she can pal around with. Glimmer is well mannered in the home and easy to care for. She walks great on leash and with her foster family. Glimmer is shy with new people and will need a slow warm up, but ideally if someone can give her time to come around, she’ll be your best friend for life. The best type of home for Glimmer would be a home that is secure and on the quiet side with less coming and going. She promises to be a loyal and loving companion.
Glimmer came to Lovebugs Rescue after her and several other dogs were seen being dumped, with one being hit by a car and killed. Thankfully Glimmer was scooped up to safety. She is very shy initially and needs a slow warm up to new people, but her tail will be wagging once she knows her people a little better. She loves other dogs and would benefit being in a home with another pooch to pal around with.
Glimmer did come to us with some cracked front teeth, which have since been removed. We don’t know what her past was like, but she’s now onto a bright new future ahead! An ideal home for her would be one that is on the quiet side without a lot of coming and going. Also a secure outdoor spot she can go potty.
