Our shelter is bursting at the seams, leaving us deeply concerned about his future. This extraordinary dog deserves to find a special place in someone’s heart. As it is he only gets to leave his kennel once a week, that is no life.
???? Picture Perfect: Meet Big Poppa, a stunning and healthy Shepherd mix who possesses an abundance of charm. His intelligence shines through, and his personality is overflowing. He is affectionate, silly, and endlessly curious, always ready to engage and respond. Playfulness exudes from him as he joyfully zooms around and chases toys. But after his playful adventures, he eagerly seeks the calming snuggles of a companion, and there’s nothing he loves more than a delightful belly rub!
???? Beyond the Shelter: Away from the chaos of the shelter, Big Poppa transforms into a contented and happy medium-energy dog. Although he hasn’t been off-leash tested with other dogs yet, he has interacted positively with larger canines during walks and in the yard. Calm and occasionally playful, he approaches these encounters with ease.
???? A Stray No More: Big Poppa arrived at the shelter as a stray in February 2022. Unfortunately, due to limited outings from his kennel, he experiences stress and doesn’t always present himself well inside his cage. Consequently, potential adopters seldom inquire about him. However, we promise that once you spend time with him in the yard, you will quickly understand why we hold him in such high regard. Big Poppa’s confidence and athleticism make him a perfect match for an active and experienced owner who can provide him with daily enrichment, exercise, and affection. In return, this stunning companion will shower you with unwavering love and loyalty.
???? Cherished by Volunteers: The volunteers who have had the pleasure of knowing and playing with Big Poppa absolutely adore him. Witnessing his transformation outside the shelter, he becomes a lovable and goofy marshmallow.
