Bean is a 3 month old Australian Cattle Dog that was found by a good samaritan alone in a local park, without any microchip or collar to indicate an owner. When this good samaritan scooped him up, they noticed Bean’s back right leg was clearly injured, and let the staff at the shelter know so they could immediately start him on pain medication.
Once at Animal Friends of the Valleys, a local hospital gave Bean a quick exam to see what kind of medication to put him on, and after his check up, was picked up and went home with an Animal Control officer to provide him comfort for the night before bringing him back to the shelter.
Now, Bean is in need of a full veterinary exam with X-rays in order to see the next plan of action, and whether he needs surgery or some other kind of treatment will be determined by a Veterinarian for his broken back leg. Bean is the first official Flip’s Farm dog that will be pulled from Animal Friends of the Valleys and rehabilitated before sending off to a new forever family.
