Meet Simba, a delightful 5.5-month-old Whippet/Husky/Shepherd mix from CCPAL Rescue, awaiting his forever home. Currently weighing 25 pounds, Simba is expected to reach a medium size of 30 to 35 pounds when fully grown. Originally cared for temporarily, Simba was never reclaimed after his owner’s vacation, and he’s now looking for a new family to cherish him.
Simba is a dream on the leash, comfortable in the car, and well-behaved in a crate. He gets along splendidly with other dogs and shows his intelligence and affection by eagerly following commands. Known for his striking blue eyes and charmingly uneven ears, which might stand up as he grows, Simba possesses the loyalty of a shepherd and the gentle disposition of a Whippet.
Ideal for a household with children aged 8 and older, Simba forms deep bonds, particularly enjoying a special connection with one primary caregiver. He thrives in an environment where he isn’t left alone all day, needing companionship, continued training, and social interaction. Simba is currently receiving his puppy vaccinations and will soon be neutered, making him ready to join his new family.
Simba is based in Texas but is available for local adoption or can be transported to locations like Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont, and along the East Coast, excluding Rhode Island and Massachusetts due to state regulations. His adoption fee is $400, with an additional $200 for transportation.
