Abandoned in the Jungle, This Pregnant Husky Fought to Survive—Now She’s Finally Home
It’s hard to picture a Husky living in a hot, humid climate, but that was the harsh reality for Bowie, a stunning Husky abandoned in a jungle in Thailand. Rescued by Happy Doggo 7 months ago alongside another Husky named Prince, Bowie was weak, sick, and struggling to survive in the unbearable heat. (Watch the TikTok below)
Soon after her rescue, the rescue staff discovered Bowie was very pregnant. Thankfully, she was able to give birth in a safe, comfortable environment, with Prince by her side for support. Recently, both gorgeous dogs finally got their much-deserved happy ending.
@happydoggoniall Bowie came to us 7 months ago, she was sick and exhausted trying to stay alive in the hot jungle, we then found out that she was heavily pregnant… Bowie delivered her puppies safely and did such an amazing job at raising them. Prince, who was also found with her in the jungle, helped Bowie through her journey and they both regained their strength once the puppies had all gone off to their forever homes 🏠 The next step was to find Bowie and Prince their own homes and we did just that! Bowie found one in Germany and Prince found one in Wales, UK… It’s been a long time coming but these 2 beauties are finally off! Of course we couldn’t say goodbye without a stop at the ice cream parlour 🍦 and a last visit to the beach 🏝️ A lot of tears from the team as they said their goodbyes, but Bowie and Prince have left Happy Doggo Land and we are so excited for them🥰 You did it Bowie and Prince, your new life starts here!❤️#rescue #streetdogs #dogsrescue ♬ In the Forest – LesFm
The Wait Ends
While all of Bowie’s puppies found loving forever homes, Bowie and Prince were left behind. But they gained back their strength, offering each other comfort as they waited for their own second chance at happiness.

Knowing these Huskies deserved the best, the charity was determined to find them forever homes where they could truly thrive. The best thing happened when not only they got adopted, but they also now have the chance to live in a much colder climate—just as they were meant to.
Bowie is starting a new life with a loving family in Germany, while Prince has found his forever home in Wales, United Kingdom. The charity couldn’t have wished for a better outcome for these incredible furry friends.

Farewell Trip to Ice Cream Parlour & The Beach
Saying goodbye to Bowie and Prince wasn’t easy for the charity team, but they knew it was the best thing for them. Their final day at the shelter was filled with love, treats, and heartfelt farewells. They visited an ice cream parlor, enjoyed a fun trip to the beach, and soaked up every last moment with their rescuers.
As the charity team bid them farewell, there were bittersweet tears, knowing the dogs were finally getting the lives they deserved. Now, Bowie and Prince have embarked on a new chapter—one filled with love, warmth, and the happiness of a true forever home.

The charity shared their story on social media, garnering more than 21,000 likes on Instagram with a plethora of touching comments. An Instagram user said, “I can’t watch these reels at work anymore. I keep crying and people are asking if I’m ok! Oh my heart!❤️❤️”
Another user, Melanie Morris adds, “What a complete and total, and wonderful, transformation. Bowie, this is your reward for being such an amazing, caring mum and you deserve it all ❤️”
Meanwhile, a pet rescue advocate, Rocky Kanaka, has this to say about the Huskies, “No dog should have to fight to survive. Thanks to the kindness of rescuers and adopters, Bowie and Prince now have the chance to live the lives they were meant for.”

Can Huskies Live in Hot Weather?
According to the Siberian Husky Welfare Association in the UK, Huskies can technically live in hot climates, but they are at serious risk in warm and humid weather. Their thick double coat helps regulate temperature, but they struggle to cool down effectively since dogs don’t sweat like humans. Their love of running can put them in danger, as they often don’t realize they’re overheating until it’s too late.
If living in a hot climate, owners must take extra precautions, including limiting exercise during the day, ensuring access to shade and cool water, and checking surface temperatures before walks. Hydration, rest breaks, and cooling methods like wetting their fur can help, but ultimately, Huskies are best suited for cooler environments.
