What Happens When Blind Cane Corso Is Left Alone With Juicy Hamburger Will Crack You Up

My Trusting Cane Corso Fails the Burger Challenge

“I was so excited to try the popular ‘Leave It’ TikTok challenge with my blind Cane Corso, Kobe,” I explain. I placed a juicy, giant hamburger down in front of him and instructed my trusting pooch to wait while I pretended to step into the other room. (See full video above)

“Oh, I forgot the ketchup. Stay right there. Don’t move. I got to go get ketchup. Don’t touch it,” but Kobe’s restraint only lasted about 10 seconds before he dove mouth-first into the burger. “I guess his appetite got the best of him!” I say. He may not have stellar impulse control, but I can’t blame Kobe for struggling to resist that tempting burger. Even if he failed the challenge, he’s still a very good boy in my book!

Flip Fails the Pasta Test

Next I tried the challenge with my goofy Boxer, Flip. I carefully crafted a dog-friendly plate of spaghetti and meatballs for him. “Flip, this is called the Leave It challenge,” I told him. “Don’t eat that yet!” But I had barely turned my back when Flip started scarfing down the meal, the little sneak! “He was supposed to wait like a trained dog,” I sigh. “Instead he got sauce and meatballs all over his head!” Even with his spaghetti beard, I still love him, though back to the drawing board on manners.

Whipping Up a “Tiny Burger” Surprise

For my final contender, senior Yorkie Zoe, I decided to try something different – a miniature homemade burger and fries! As I chopped lettuce, tomato and tiny buns, Zoe sniffed around eagerly. “That burger’s bigger than your head, girl!” I chuckled. Once her slider was complete, I again instructed Zoe to “Leave it!” before pretending to grab ketchup. But less than a minute passed before the burger disappeared. “Did you eat that?” I ask Zoe. The guilty look on her face says it all. Oh well – challenge failed, but love still going strong in this family!

Love Beyond Challenges

In the end, each of us, Kobe, Flip, and Zoe, failed the “Leave It” Challenge. But the real takeaway was the unconditional love and joy we share with our human. “Every single one of my dogs failed the Leave It challenge, but I still love them,” he said with a heart full of affection.
