This Dog Was Chained Up and Left to Freeze—Now She’s Waiting for Someone to Love Her!
A young dog named Tupac was found chained outside in freezing 14°F weather, exposed to the elements with no shelter. Her elderly owner, struggling to care for himself, admitted that Tupac was too much for him to handle. Dog Aide, a Detroit-based charity that provides resources to dogs and their owners, stepped in to help. Director Kari Martin first met Tupac on the last day of 2024 and was heartbroken to see the energetic young dog left out in the bitter cold. The team immediately worked to keep her as warm as possible, even building an igloo shelter while searching for a safe place for her to go.

However, when they returned to retrieve her, they were heartbroken to find her tangled so badly in her chain that she couldn’t even reach the shelter they had built. Thankfully, their partner transfer team secured a safe place for her at the Roscommon County Shelter.
