These 23 Huskies Howling in Unison Will Have You Reaching for Earmuffs

What’s gorgeously fluffy, resembles a majestic wolf, enjoys sledding, and always has a lot to say (Translation: champions of dramatic vocalizations)? Yeah, you guessed it right — the Husky. (watch video below)

Huskies Howling

It’s hard not to think about the lovely Siberian Husky without their howling prowess coming to mind. If you’re anything like us, you probably find the sound of one husky howling with all their might too much for your ears to handle. Now, imagine being around a group of….not 5.…not 10…. but 21 Huskies howling simultaneously. Magical? Maybe….but only if you have your earmuffs on standby.

A group of huskies living with their owners have found fame on TikTok for howling at the same time, and we’re pretty sure they’ll leave a lasting impression on your sensitive ears.

Let the Howling Fest Begin…..

TikTok user @GoHuskyIceland shared the fascinating clip showing his 21 huskies (yes, all his) inside a spacious pen doing what they do best: howling. The caption on the clip reads: “Due to high demand. Cover your ears or turn the volume down.”

Going by this caption, one can tell that this isn’t the first time @GoHuskyIceland has walked in on his Huskies having a theatrical howling session. But that’s not all these lovely pups do all day. When they’re not busy yapping, you may find them going on sledge-pulling tours with their mom and dad or escorting hikers who want some canine company while on the trail. Some people even visit Husky Iceland just to see and pet these hardworking pups.

We don’t know what it feels like to own and care for 21 Huskies, but we can tell that these particular owners do love waking up to that canine crowd every morning.

Watch the video below:

Since its upload, the video has racked up over 2.5 million views, and we have no doubts the number will keep rising. As expected, TikTok users did not spare the comment section from hilarious remarks (disclaimer: they’ll have you in stitches).

One person wrote: “The Husky delegation, demanding more snow.”

Another commented: “Are they not singing the Husky National Anthem?”

A third person added: “Is that a husky rescue? Thank you for helping these beautiful animals.”

Why Do Huskies Howl So Much, Though?

Huskies Howling

According to the American Kennel Club, howling is a primary means of communication for Huskies. Their tendency to howl more often than they bark has everything to do with their wolf ancestry.

As you may probably know, Huskies share an ancestry with the wolf. Wolves mostly communicate with their pack members through howling, and so Huskies inherited this vocal trait from their descendants.

Huskies howl for different reasons. For instance, in response to something going on in their environment, like the presence of a high-pitched noise, if they’re in need of human attention, to alert their owners of danger, or to simply “talk” to each other (when one Husky howls, another howls back in response). Excessive howling may also be a Husky’s way of expressing any pain or emotional distress they may be feeling.
