𧸠Pajamas to the Rescue
While Diesel was prescribed medication for the mange, he remained itchy and uncomfortable as his skin began to heal. Thatâs when Amanda had an idea: protect his sensitive skin with clothing. Friends started sending him soft, breathable doggy pajamas , and to everyone’s delight, Diesel loved them. Not only did the PJs stop him from scratching, they also protected him from the sun and soothed his healing skin.

𧏠What Is Demodectic Mange?
Demodectic mange is a type of mite infestation that develops in a dogâs hair follicles. Itâs most common in puppies and young dogs under 18 months, whose immune systems havenât fully developed. While many adult dogs can fight off the mites naturally, those with weakened immune systemsâlike Dieselâare more susceptible to severe cases.

đ How Mange Is Treated
Mild cases of mange often resolve without treatment, but severe mange requires medication. Vets typically prescribe topical medication, oral medication, and sometimes antibiotics to treat secondary infections. Dieselâs skin was inflamed and painful at first, but with time and care, he recovered beautifully.
đž A Fresh Start for Diesel
Today, Diesel is healthy, loved, and still a fan of his cozy outfits. His story is proof that sometimes, a little comfortâlike the soft feel of pajamasâcan go a long way in helping a dog heal, both inside and out.
