One service dog has left the internet seriously amazed after a TikTok video captured him staying put upon spotting one of his favorite people at the airport — his mom. The now-viral clip, posted by @dogfather360, shows the Australian Cattle Dog named Ezekiel sitting on the airport floor right beside his handler, focused on what he was trained to do. Then, he spots his mom — who had been away for several days — and his face instantly lights up with excitement.
An Unrushed Reunion
Surprisingly, Zeke doesn’t sprint into the arms of his loving mom, as the average dog would. Even though every fiber in his body at that moment screamed “go”, he sat still and didn’t leave his handler’s side. Zeke waited for the one thing that a fake service dog wouldn’t be patient enough for: permission from his handler. Once he was granted permission, he trotted toward his mom with a tail wagging at top speed.

Honestly, this was not just a beautiful reunion, but also a free masterclass on discipline & self-control, something that only real service dogs display.
It’s no wonder TikTok users can’t get enough of this clip, which has racked up 17 million views so far. Thousands have taken to the comments section to express their admiration for sweet Zeke.
“Now THAT is a service animal! The amount of self control that took,” one person wrote.
“He was going to get up, but then remembered that he was working,” another added.
“The fact that he held in all the excitement says so much about how much of a good service dog he is,” a third person commented.
Exercising self-control is one of the many skills that service dogs are trained to have. This is necessary, given the crucial role that these dogs play in their handlers’ lives. According to expert service dog trainers at e-Training for Dogs, having a high level of self-control ensures a service dog doesn’t give in to distractions when they’re at work in public spaces.
