Random Dog Crawls Into Bed With Couple & Cuddles Them All Night Long

No, Nala, you CAN be Too Friendly

Overly-friendly pup breaks into Tennessee Home, cuddles unsuspecting homeowner all night. Can you imagine if you woke up in the morning and a dog you had never seen before was lying right next to you?

Nala, an exceptionally loving canine in Tennessee, slipped her collar while on a walk a couple of weeks ago and ran away from her owners. Her mother began searching frantically but, as it turns out, Nala was far from danger.

What Happened

As it turns out, she snuck into the home of a couple, crawled into bed with them, and cuddled them all night. It wasn’t until the sun began to rise that the couple woke up and realized the dog they had been lying next to wasn’t one of the three they own.

And this wasn’t any dog. This pup was pretty big. Almost as big as the human.

Nobody has yet figured out how Nala entered the home but Julie Johnson, the victim (or beneficiary as the case may be) of the unsuspecting cuddles posted about it on Facebook to find the owner. She stated in the post “It is absolutely normal to wake up in our house with one of OUR dogs in bed with us. One small problem, THIS IS NOT OUR DOG.”

She went on to state that she was unsure how the dog entered their home. Apparently, Nala is quite the break-in artist and her methods have evaded detection as of yet. And it’s not clear how the dog jumped into the bed without waking the other three dogs.

Julie was quick to point out that this was “the weirdest post I have ever had to make” before asking the question “Is this your dog?”

Resolution

Don’t worry, the owners live a few houses down and quickly stepped in to go and pick up their pup. Chris Hawkins, Nala’s owner, later posted that she had “hit an all-time record for ignoring personal space and added yet another trick to her long list of Houdini acts.”

Hawkins also pointed out another element of this story that is rather odd. Julie and her partner sleep with three other dogs in their bed. Yet none of them made any indication at all that a strange dog was entering the bed of their sleeping owners.

I guess Nala just has big cuddle energy.

Nala obviously started the couple but they weren’t upset to find the strange dog cuddling them in their bed (who would be?) Nala has returned home where she can continue to practice her sleight-of-paw and other magical tricks without panicking her parents.

We look forward to Nala’s next big trick. Maybe she will freeze herself in a block of ice or escape a thunder shirt on her own–only the future can tell.
