1. Rosie: 2-year-old Pregnant Chiweenie
Rosie is a two-year-old, 12-pound Chiweenie with a heart as big as her journey. She’s spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and on flea control. Rosie’s days of hiding in fear are behind her, and she’s eager to find a family who will love her unconditionally. Her adoption fee is $450.

2. Swifty: 2-year-old Cuddle Bug
SWIFTY is the cuddliest little nugget. He’s a 2ish-year-old 11 lb. chiweenie (Chihuahua/Dachshund) type mixed breed boy. He was a stray in a rural area and was difficult to catch, which is how he got the name Swifty. This little guy is a world-class cuddler and gets completely blissed out over belly rubs. Swifty takes a few minutes to warm up to new people but once he trusts you it’s a love connection.
So far Swifty has no interest in the other dogs in his foster home. We expect he’d be perfectly happy to live life as an only dog. He loves to be carried and cuddled and loves his toys. 3. Bonnie: 1.5-year-old Lap Companion
Welcome Bonnie to CCPAL Rescue. She is about a 1.5-year-old Chiweenie. She is about 10 pounds and a nice weight. She is a little shy but still very friendly. She is a lap companion and has lower energy. She would be fine in a condo yard setting or other smaller yard. She is good in a crate and not too vocal. She has a nice low coat and is not a huge shedding dog. She goes on a wee pad but on a schedule could learn to do it outside. She would be best with a quieter home for someone wanting a lap companion.
She can be with older kids and would be great for a retired couple or single person. She likes attention and is doing wonderful at the rescue. She gets along with lots of other dogs and puppies off-leash. She was rescued from a hoarding situation that was stepped into by Animal Control. CCPAL took a number of dogs from this setting. Meet Bruiser!! We rescued Bruiser with his sister and have fallen completely in love! Bruiser is a very adorable 14-week-old Chiweenie. He loves to play with other dogs and is a big snuggle bug. Bruiser will stay small and do well in an apartment with a family and kids. Learn More
5. Tina: 7 Pounds of Love
OMG – this teeny Chiweenie is the sweetest little dog ever. Tina is 2 years old and 7 lbs of love and sweetness. Not a scared little fearful, snappy dog at all – super friendly. Tina came to us with pretty much no fur on her back, neck, chest, or head. It is now coming in so nicely! For a moment, we were uncertain if she was going to have genetic alopecia, or if the issue was diet and environment-related.
Since the fur is growing back in so beautifully, clearly it is not alopecia! YAY! She is healthy and playful and good with dogs and cats and respectful, experienced kids. Needs a contained yard, for she is not great on the leash and is so tiny. Tina is a must-meet, for she will steal your heart for sure. ADORABLE! Learn More

Meet Pebbles, a 10-week-old Chiweenie mix with a charming tan and white coat, weighing in at 9.9 lbs as of December 30, 2024. Pebbles is fostered in Arcadia, FL, and is looking for a forever home within one hour’s distance due to her young age and ongoing veterinary needs.
Pebbles is described by her foster family as a loving and playful puppy, ready to bring joy to her new home. She will require further rounds of vaccines and regular visits to our vet in Arcadia, so commitment to her medical care is essential. Learn More

Meet Austin Powers! Austin Powers is an 8-week-old Chiweenie mix, and he’s ready to charm his way into your heart! His mom is a 14-pound Chiweenie, and while we don’t know who his dad is, we’re certain he inherited all the cuteness and sweetness. Austin is super affectionate and playful, with a personality as adorable as his looks. He’s up-to-date on his vaccines, microchipped, and flea control. Austin will be neutered on December 16th and will be available for adoption that afternoon. His adoption fee is $550.
