Roofo’s saga began back in 2020, a tale I learned about through shelter records and colleagues. Found running loose around the airport, he was brought to our shelter. Mel had groomed him back then, freeing him from his matted coat before he was returned to his owner. It was a moment of hope, a brief respite in Roofo’s turbulent life.
