Dumped in a Container and Forgotten—This Puppy Is Still Waiting to Be Chosen

The newly born puppies were infested with fleas, suffering from starvation, and a host of other issues. Luckily, they were saved by Forgotten Now Family Rescue. Yosemite found a loving foster home, but months later, this 8-month-old cutie puppy is still without a forever home.
195 Days of Waiting
Sweet little Yosemite has been safe in the arms of his devoted foster mom, Jodi Phillips, for months now. Jodi has been showering him with all the love he missed out on. But while he’s thriving in foster care, what this 8-month-old special pup needs now is a forever family to call his own.
One by one, all of his littermates found homes. But Yosemite kept waiting. Now, more than 195 days have passed, and he’s still overlooked, despite his gentle nature and adorable puppy charm.
He’s had several hopeful moments: families who expressed interest, submitted applications, and then disappeared. Some chose younger puppies. Others simply ghosted him.
And through it all, Jodi has remained his biggest cheerleader, faithfully bringing him to every adoption event, praying that someone will finally see what she sees: a perfect, loving soul just waiting to be chosen.
Instead, Yosemite is often left standing quietly while the dogs around him are scooped up into new lives. It’s heartbreaking for the rescue, for Jodi, and most of all, for this sweet boy who just wants to be loved back.
“Puppies like Yosemite survive the unimaginable and still show nothing but love; that’s the kind of resilience we should all fight for,” said pet rescue advocate Rocky Kanaka.
Passed Over Again—But Still Hopeful
Recently, Yose faced yet another setback. A family had reached out to the North Carolina-based rescue, eager to adopt him. With cautious hope, he was placed on hold for two weeks, only for the family to back out with a single text. Just like that, another promise of love slipped away.
