Open for lunch and dinner, this dive is popular with locals and tourists, but its space is limited! There aren’t many pup-friendly tables, so arrive early if you’re hoping for a spot. There’s a small parking lot, though, so driving to this location isn’t out of the question.

If you’re bringing your pooch, you’ll be welcomed onto either the front or back patio. Worry not, though, because The Rambler’s extensive remodeling outfitted both of these spaces with fans and awnings. You’ll be comfortable at any time of the year, but you’ll need to do some work to find parking if you opt to drive.

If that’s true, — and it is! — then Island Café must be one of the best casual dining spots in Portland. This is a good, filling spot to grab something to eat, and they’re open for lunch and dinner. Island Café specializes in tacos and burgers, but you can also enjoy a salad and some drinks.
