1. Barnaby’s Café

With a dog-friendly menu that includes water, ground beef and garlic, sliced chicken breasts, scrambled eggs, and doggy ice cream, Barnaby’s Café is the perfect place to take your pooch! Pups are invited to dine on the outdoor patio, and humans are welcome to dine on a wide range of delicious Americana.

Prospective diners should know that parking is somewhat limited. There is a parking lot out front, but it does not have a lot of space! Arrive early to grab a parking spot.

Despite its address, this café is actually located at the corner of Newhouse St. and McDuffie St. Parking is scarce, as it is located in a downtown neighborhood. Beginning at 11:00 AM every day, Backstreet Café serves up Southern cuisine with a Cajun twist. Bacon-wrapped quail, beignets, and gumbo are just a few of the many unique flavors you can order.

Keep in mind that the parking for FM Kitchen & Bar is only accessible from its Shepherd Street entrance. If you approach from Center Street, you’ll have to turn onto the appropriate path.

For a casual Italian experience, there’s Postino. This café serves up brews and wines, making it the perfect place for a midday pick-me-up or an evening dinner. With longer hours on Fridays and Saturdays, this neighborhood favorite has plenty of options to satisfy everyone!
