UPDATE: Wiggles, aka Louie, has been safely returned to his owner.
This small male Chihuahua is nicknamed “Wiggles” because of a Love Letter with Dogs from last episode to honor a dog that was important to a fan. Wiggles was found roaming the streets in a nearby city by Animal Control and brought into the shelter just the day before Rocky spots him. Without any collar, and later learning there is no microchip, no information about Wiggles’ past is known. All we know is that he is frightened and needs some love and gentleness.
Later, it’s discovered that staff suspect ‘Wiggles’ is actually a dog that was adopted from a rescue that pulled him from AFV called Lucky Chi Dog Rescue just a month or two prior named ‘Louie,’ and when Sharyl the Volunteer Coordinator at Animal Friends of the Valleys comes in to scoop him up, she thinks the same. Rocky and staff go on an investigation, and turns out after talking to the owner of Louie, he was indeed missing!
Now, it’s just about waiting to see if his owner comes in and verifies that he is indeed Louie, and brings him home safely. In the meantime, Wiggles will be on a holding status (not available) until it’s been 10 days at the shelter. Stay tuned!
