Tommy was found as a stray and spent some time at a humane society in Yakima WA. He was transferred to Canine Connections Rescue in Snoqualmie WA in October of 2023, and is still waiting to be adopted. Tommy has gone through multiple training sessions at the rescue while waiting for his forever home, and we have learned that he is very smart and eager to work and train.
Tommy loves to spend time with his people, and he has a trainer that gets to work with him for over an hour 5 days a week. He has aced all his tests in training, and is ready to continue working with his forever person. He walks amazingly on leash, he plays with enthusiasm both independently and with other dogs, he loves stuffed toys and he will settle down on a comfy bed indoors. Tommy has 2 puppies he currently plays with throughout the day and shares a kennel with at night.
Tommy does approach new dogs with a bit of “HEY I’M HERE LET’S PLAY”. When the other dog tells him to back off and let’s try this again, he will respect their cues. Tommy would get along with an adult dog that tolerates his playing style, and he has been great with bigger puppies.
