Winnie is a 4-year-old, 10-pound Poodle mix who’s still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. At first, he’s shy and unsure, carefully observing from a distance. But once you earn his trust, Winnie transforms into a deeply affectionate little companion who just wants to stay close to his people.

In his foster home, Winnie has already shown how much love he has to give. He lights up during playtime—especially when chasing his favorite fox toy—and at the end of the day, he’s happiest curled up beside his humans, soaking in comfort and security. His sweetest side really shines when he feels safe.

One thing is clear: Winnie doesn’t just like other dogs—he needs them. Watching him gain confidence from the small dog in his foster home has made it evident that a calm, friendly canine companion will be essential for his future happiness.

Winnie is still working on house training and hasn’t yet learned how to walk on a leash. He also struggles with separation anxiety and is not crate-trained, which means he’ll need a home where he’s rarely left alone. His surprisingly big bark for such a little guy also makes shared-wall living a challenge.

But for the right person—the one willing to go slow, offer reassurance, and let Winnie build confidence at his own pace—this little dog has so much love waiting to bloom. With a steady routine, a canine friend, and a calm home, Winnie will become a loyal and devoted best friend.
