Meet Sergio, our one year old terrier /retriever mix. Sergio came to us as a stray, underweight and slightly sick. Our medical team has been treating him and he is already looking MUCH better! Sergio is a little nervous here, but once he is out of his kennel he is the sweetest!
This cute guy gets a little sensitive to quick movements, and as we don’t know his life prior, we are trying to make his stay here as comfortable as possible, so we are going slow with him, on his terms. Sergio enjoys soft pets, and really seems to enjoy play time with tug ropes and tennis balls! We can imagine he probably never had any toys of his own before, so we can’t wait to see him in a home with endless toys and a backyard to play!
He has been on Foster Field Trips and Adoption Events; and does wonderful! Sergio did well in his dog test, but did get a bit overwhelmed at times, so upon adoption, it will be up to the behaviorist discretion if he can go home with another canine friend.
