Scoobie, a male Great Dane mix around 5 ½ years old, was turned into the shelter by his owners twice – the first time was in 2022 when the owner turned him in due to being ‘hard to carry’ and other behavioral issues. After talking to the shelter, they decided to retrieve Scoobie from the shelter. After apparently being re-homed, the second time he was returned was a few days ago as the new owner of Scoobie was moving out of the country. His past is complicated and with multiple turn ins at this point along with clearly being underfed, Scoobie certainly feels he has nowhere he belongs.
Rocky sits with Scoobie as he initially notices his thin figure, and when he learns of his past, he becomes even more motivated to help Scoobie find a new home. Scoobie starts to open up to Rocky despite his hesitance at first, definitely motivated by treats and the positivity that he brings to him.
